The2023XRAsiaCupChallenge will be hosted by TheInternationalSchoolofTianjinin collaboration with the Global Association for Immersive Learning Advancement (GAILA) from 4thMayto 6thMay. This event aims to promote innovative teaching and learning practices through the use of Extended Reality (XR) technology, while also fostering the development of computational and innovative thinking competencies among students of all ages.
Amongtheparticipantsaretwotalented BSB Shunyi Year 12 Computer Sciencestudents,NicholasLiuand Felix Mubei Höhne, who are highly interested in technology and have a passion for learning. They are excited to showcase their creativity andinnovationinusingXRtechnology,aswellastolearnfromtheirpeersandexpertsinthefield.

Nicolas and Felix are confident that their IB Diploma education has equipped them with the necessary skills and mindset to excel in this event and beyond. They embody various IB learner profile attributes such as being open-minded, inquirers, thinkers, communicators, and reflective.
Theiropen-mindednessisevidentintheirwillingnesstoexplorenewandcutting-edgetechnologies,and their inquiring minds drive them to continuously seek new knowledge and understanding. Their analytical and critical thinking skills enable them to approach complex problems in a logical and systematicmanner,whiletheir effective communication skillsallow themtocollaborateeffectivelywith others.
NicholasandFelix'sreflective nature isalsoanimportantaspectoftheirlearning.Theyareconstantly evaluatingtheirprogressandseekingwaystoimprovetheirskillsandunderstanding,whilealsobeing receptive to constructive feedback from their teachers and peers.

The British School of Beijing recently hosted BritMUN 2025, a Model United Nations (MUN) event that highlights the exceptional organisational and leadership skills of our students. This year's conference was a remarkable success, attracting student delegates from many different schools across Beijing, including the British School of Beijing, the International School of Beijing, Dulwich College Beijing, and Beijing World Youth Academy.
